About
I've been making games from a very early age. When I got my first computer, playing and making games seemed like the only reasonable thing to do. As a lousy grade-school student, I struggled to learn English just to read "Teach Yourself C" in pre-internet days. I was so passionate about games that I used to skip school and go to video arcades just to learn how to make them.
But games at the time were not considered a serious career path. As a young professional software engineer, I joined instant messaging pioneer ICQ as their server dev lead. A life-changing experience, but after a few years running behind the scenes, I realized where my heart was. I joined a local game company to run a small casual games studio. While closer to realizing my dream, my routine of making casual titles with little creativity or self-expression left me dissatisfied.
Eventually, I moved on and opened my studio Untame so I could finally make the games I wanted, in collaboration with family and friends. In 2011 we launched our first original title Rope Rescue, a rope-based puzzler. We followed up in 2015 with Mushroom 11, an experimental puzzle-platformer with an uncharted play space ready for exploring. Mushroom 11 was well received and gained numerous accolades and awards, including the highly-regarded Apple Design Award. My next game Cue Quest will be announced soon, so stay tuned!
